The uktena is a mythical horned serpent from the beliefs of the Cherokee people. It is described as a great snake, as thick as a tree trunk, with glowing scales and a crest like a diamond on its forehead.

The Uktena is invulnerable, with only one spot on its head being vulnerable. The diamond-like crest, known as the ulun’suti, is said to grant great powers. However, attaining it is no easy feat, as the creature has a dazzling gaze and poisonous breath.
