lmao im always in this dilemma where i dont want to say the phrase “dude chill out its just a cartoon” because that would sound like im underestimating the importance of what animated narratives mean to people or it’d sound like i’d be saying that family content shouldnt be taken seriously
but at the same time, everytime i see ppl getting really mad about cartoons on an unhealthy life-consuming level i just have to say it. “dude chill out its just a cartoon”
From @whiskersnpurrs: “Look who has turned into the sweetest little lap kitten! When she’s ready for napping she comes to me for snuggles 😍” #catsofinstagram [source: https://ift.tt/2Ri52b8 ]
i hate how reward systems never work for me like i can’t just say “if i finish this assignment i can have a cookie” bc my brain is like “…..or u could just have one right now” and i can’t argue with that logic
Self-imposed deadlines don’t work either because I know the guy who set them and he’s full of shit
There’s also the related problem of “I finished the thing and want my cookie” and your brain goes “but really, having a cookie is a waste of money, you should save your money” “but I finished the thing?” “well if you must … here, enjoy a nice side of guilt with your cookie” “you ruined the cookie for me” “see, I told you a cookie wasn’t worth it” fuck off already.
