Headcanon A:  realistic

was absolutely crushing on Ahsoka for most of the Onderon arc but it was really Not the Time, so she pushed it to the back of her mind and focused on liberating her people. also she was already pretty sure this monarchy thing wasn’t a great long term idea and figuring out how to transition to a democracy before they even succeeded in restoring the king.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

stole rex’s fuckin awful hat/goggle getup one time and framed lux for it, rex figured it out pretty quick that lux didn’t do it but since lux was a snotty douche he made him pay for it anyway

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

YOU MEAN CANON WASN’T BAD ENOUGH??? how about this: that crush on ahsoka? she wasn’t going to say anything. she had a planet to save, her people to save, and ahsoka was a jedi with a war of her own to fight. it just wasn’t a realistic dream to have, and steela knew realistic. but sometimes she’d daydream about when the war was over, maybe she could go out and see the rest of galaxy, and maybe she could do it with her friend ahsoka, who would be a jedi knight by then, and she could just be a person again. because she loves her people, her planet, her cause, but being a leader means she doesn’t get to just be herself anymore. everyone is watching. everyone is looking to her to be their leader and their figurehead and that pedestal is awfully high, it’s a long way to fall if she screws up, and it’s lonely as hell. when the war’s over, maybe then she can take some time for herself and do some traveling with an old, dear friend

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

SHE LIVES AND ASKS AHSOKA OUT ON A DATE (and it kinda doesn’t happen right away, ahsoka’s got a war to fight after all and anakin to watch out for. but when she leaves the order she goes to onderon (and takes barriss with her because that is Some BULLSHIT) and says “hey can i still get that date??” and steela is like “FUCK YES” saw is ecstatic because his sis is great at compartmentalizing but omfg if he had to listen to her pining ONE MORE TIME he was gonna do something drastic) AND THEY’RE TOTALLY MARRIED AND RUNNING REBEL CELLS TOGETHER
