Taako Needs a Home

Everyone, meet Taako! Taako was abandoned in Brooklyn about a month ago. My partner and I have been working with some of his clients to share the responsibility of fostering her, but we’re not in a position to keep taking care of her, and it isn’t fair to Taako to keep getting shuffled from house to house. We need to find her a real foster, or an adopter, ASAP. 

Taako was abandoned by a backyard breeder who kept her in a crate with 2 other dogs. Because of her hearing loss, she has trouble understanding when other dogs want her to leave them alone (and she often steps on dogs in an attempt to cuddle) so she didn’t do well in the crate, and her owner gave her to someone who left her on the street. 

Perks: cuddling, playful, friendly, loving. Learning hand signals. Can sleep through anything! Loves other dogs, and is even doing OK with our cats.

Quirks: Well, she’s deaf. She’s still a puppy, and sometimes has accidents. She has been known to get a little agitated and bark at nothing, which is possibly a sign of vision loss. 

Please contact me ASAP if you’re interested in fostering or adopting Taako. My partner and I are completely exhausted taking care of our own pets and foster kittens, and we do not have the time or space to give Taako the care she needs.
