Aggressive reminder that addiction is an illness and that it usually starts as an unhealthy coping method for already mentally ill people/people in shitty situations, and that shitting on/hating on addicts and acting like they actively chose to become addicts because they are bad or stupid people and that they could just have chosen not to do drugs isn’t just wrong but also reprehensible and incompatible with being an ally to mentally ill people.
