Proposed: A film starring Lupita Nyong’o as a tough-as-nails Interpol agent who always gets her man, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the suave international jewel thief whose next big heist… is her heart.
Stanley Tucci is Lupita’s wise, twinkly-eyed mentor; Indira Varma is Chiwetel’s bad-news ex-partner in crime. Osric Chau and Evanna Lynch play exasperating rookie agents who Lupita would much rather not be saddled with (she prefers to work alone) until they come through and prove their worth when the chips are down.
Important requirements: Lupita is going to need a lot of intimidatingly architectural pantsuits, and a perfectly draped 30s-style evening gown for the scene where she goes undercover at the museum gala. Likewise, Chiwetel will require a series of charcoal gray cashmere turtlenecks, several exquisitely tailored coats, and one hell of a tuxedo.
