Thomas Primeau, a Conservator of Works of Art on Paper, has been working to stabilize the pigments in this “Book of Hours” from 15th century France. It is one of many illuminated manuscripts in our collection being digitized at the University of Pennsylvania in partnership with Bibliotheca Philadelphiensis, a medieval manuscript digitization project that will live online for the public to explore.
