I want to reiterate: a black woman showrunner giving us a new black Slayer.

HOLY SHIT I FEEL BLESSED BY THIS POST.

I was so fucking afraid that they’d just write a bunch of OCs, slap the names of the original characters on and be done with it. Or that they’ll do a whole new thing and completely ignore the existence of BtVS canon.

This? This just got me very excited for the reboot, because instead of disregarding my favorite show, it will add more to it – and I am all on board with that! *^*
