this is the co-creator of D&D 5e. i just want to point that out, this isn’t some random guy tweeting this. this is official staff.

someone explain their classes and races

  • Dorothy (Bea Arthur) – Human Fighter: Vanguard of the party, Dorothy is often the driving force behind the drama. Not content to sit back, she either chooses to actively lead the group or at least act as their ethical, logical focus. Dorothy will be the first one to jump into a confrontation to protect her loved ones. She feels a sense of responsibility for the group, and Dorothy’s sense of duty will make her stay in unfavorable circumstances even to her own detriment. Major character attributes: courage, valor, strength, stubbornness, honesty, and sacrifice.
  • Blanche (Rue McClanahan) – Elf Wizard: Older than she appears, but Blanche knows all the tricks of the trade to put on a favorable appearance. A bit vain, but not without merit. Blanche is driven by her desire to expand her horizons, to experience all life has to offer, often heedless of the consequences. Born into privilege, she is often caught off-guard by the concerns expressed by the group regarding her schemes. Blanche is unembarrassed about her previous escapades, but her outgoingness is mirrored by how reserved and vulnerable she is around her true friends. A problem-solver by nature, Blanche is often the first to spring into action, even if her plans aren’t exactly well thought out. Major character traits: ambition, wanderlust, haughtiness, fickle, confident.
  • Rose (Betty White) – Halfling Cleric: While Dorothy is the ethical center of the group, Rose is the heart. Coming from a strong family background, Rose is eager to make friends wherever she goes. She sees the best in people, even up to the point where they prove her wrong. Her naivete is both a weakness and a strength, as it allows her a perspective her jaded companions lack. Rose doesn’t try to be the moral compass of the group, she just wants to make people happy, and the rest of the group just happens to get dragged into whatever trouble she finds herself in. Despite this, Rose will always be there to lend any support she can offer to those in need. Major character qualities: kind, flighty, extroverted, naive, compassionate.
  • Sophia (Estelle Getty) – Dwarf Rogue: Sophia is the smartest in the group and everyone knows it. It’s not just because she is the oldest; Sophia has a razor-sharp wit, honed through decades of having to deal with everybody’s bullshit. Whatever the issue, she has seen it all and done more than what she will admit to. The world is very plain to Sophia: things are what they are and you can either take it or leave it. She can appreciate the nuances of the situations and issues the others bring up, but Sophia has no time to dwell on if’s, and’s, but’s, or maybe’s. She enjoys the company of others, but if you’re not getting on-board then get out of the way, because Sophia has still got a lot of living to do. Major character aspects: brash, honest, impulsive, wise, curt, ambivalent, sly.
