On May 16 when many educators will be marching in nc for their liveable wage, I want y’all to remember and really think about how education cannot be apolitical and that children in the u.s. will never have access to equal education until there is redistribution of wealth.
Our education system is so fucked that the education a child receives is based off property tax in their community. Education in america is not equal in any way and never will be as long as capital is seen as more important as the education of future generations.
CHILDREN SHOULDN’T HAVE TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR COMMUNITY TO RECEIVE A GOOD EDUCATION
