I wish “The Captain goes down with the ship” was a common practice in large corporations.

It’s obviously already a thing for small business, as most small business owners often put their ENTIRE livelihoods on the success of their business.

But when big businesses fail, it tends to be devastating to the employees and rarely more than a minor inconvenience for the executives.

The CEO of a company shouldn’t be able to make money on the failure of a business, In fact, nearly every cent of the remaining capitol should be used to give employees a leg up for the time they will now need to spend finding new jobs (or starting their own businesses)
